Fall Craft! No Paintbrushes Needed!

Updated: Dec 1, 2020

Cauliflower and Broccoli Stamps!

Even though it’s still 105° here in AZ, Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back at Starbucks, which means it’s officially Fall!

With this news, we were inspired to make an autumn craft, but all of our paintbrushes had mysteriously disappeared… Thanks Noah… So, we improvised with what we had in our fridge! Cauliflower!

What You Will Need:

*I've linked our favorite, washable paints from Amazon for you below!

• Cauliflower or Broccoli Florets

• Fall Tree Template (I drew this printable template. You are welcome to download and use it too! Please give credit.)

Step 1: Print your template.

Step 2: Dab fall paint colors (red, yellow, orange, brown) onto a paint palette or plate.

Step 3: Help your little one dip their cauliflower or broccoli “brush” into the paint and let them stamp away, adding vibrant, warm colors to their tree!

This craft can help your kiddo with color recognition, hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Pinch, pinch! For older kids, you can also use this activity to teach them about the four seasons or turn on an episode of Veggie Tales!

With the leftover florets (that weren’t covered in paint), I pulled out the Air Fryer and made a favorite Slay At Home Mama Snack - Buffalo Cauliflower Bites!

Ingredients

  • 1 Bag or Head of Cauliflower

  • 2 TBSP Melted Butter

  • 1 TBSP Olive Oil

  • 1/2 Cup of Frank’s Red Hot

  • 1/2 Cup Almond Flour

  • 1/2 TBSP Garlic Powder

  • Sea Salt To Taste

Step 1: In a large bowl, mix cauliflower florets, Frank’s, melted butter and olive oil. Let sit.

Step 2: In a separate bowl, mix almond flour, garlic powder & salt, creating a dry mixture.

Step 3: Sprinkle the dry mixture over your cauliflower florets. Coat evenly.

Step 4: Pop in the air fryer at 400° for 20 minutes! I like mine nice & crispy!

Step 5: Hide from kids. You won’t want to share these!

If you decide to try this #fallcraft, use my tree template, or yummy recipe, I’d love to hear about your experience! Comment below or tag me, @slayathomemama, in your Instagram post!
