Bath Time Sensory Play

Updated: Mar 25, 2020

TWO INGREDIENT Edible Finger Paint!

#Fact - Kids are professional mess makers! However, little messy hands are signs of discovery & exploration!

This Bath Time Activity using edible finger paints will help activate your kiddo's different senses and only requires TWO INGREDIENTS: yogurt & food coloring! Your little one will crawl/walk away more sophisticated and 'cultured' (Love sneaking in a pun when I can. Sorry, not sorry).

What You Will Need:

*I have linked some of our Amazon favorites for you, below.

1. Your Favorite, Plain Yogurt (We love Simple Truth Organic Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt)

2. Food Coloring (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green)

4. Baby Spoon (We use the Nuby Hot Safe Spoons at every meal! The spoon will turn white to notify parents if the food it too hot)

Step 1: Using the baby spoon, portion yogurt equally into mini muffin pan cups.

Step 2: Add three drops of food coloring to each muffin cup.

Step 3: Stir with baby spoon until blended.

Step 4: Scoop out your yogurt finger paints onto the floor of your bath tub.

Step 5: Add 👶🏼 and let the sensory adventure begin!

Step 6: Rinse & repeat again on another day!

Ross & I had fun watching Noah investigate a new texture and mix colors! I'd recommend this #SensoryActivity for supported sitters & up. Whether you have a 3 month old or a toddler, providing time for your babe to explore the world around them is essential for their ever-evolving development!

If you decide to try this Sensory Activity, I'd love to hear about your experience! Please leave a comment below or tag me, @slayathomemama, in your post on Instagram.
